در ویدئوی ضمیمه؛ به مضمون آن اشاره کرده‌ام با این توضیح که، نه به انقلاب اشاره دارد و نه از مبارزه و درافتادن با ستمگران حرف می‌زند. درون آدمی را نشانه می‌گیرد و از آنچه بیشتر ما با تنزه‌طلبی لاپوشانی می‌کنیم، پرده برمی‌دارد.

این آهنگ به یاد ماندنی توسط خوانندگان و نوازندگان مختلفی اجرا شده که از آن میان می‌توان به داستی اسپرینگفیلد، نوئل هریسون، باربارا استرایسند، استینگ، خوزه فلیسیانو... و، فرهاد اشاره نمود.
فرهاد مهراد، خواننده ترانه‌هایی چون «جمعه»، «شبانه» و «گنجشکک اشی مشی»...، همو که «زنگ صدایش، صدای رسا و زخم خورده‌اش و دل ریش ریش و غصه بی‌پایانش» در یاد همه ماست، ترانه زیبای The Windmills of Your Mind را (در آلبوم خواب و بیداری) خوانده‌است.

متن ترانه مثل خیالات آدمی که ری و روم و بغداد را درمی نوردد و دم به دم حالی به حالی می‌شود؛ دَرهم و بَرهم، پیچیده، ازهم پاشیده و همراه با استعاره است.
